Outdoor Dining Set Maintenance Guide
Weekly Maintenance (5 Minutes)
Wipe down surfaces with mild soapy water. Brush off pollen, bird droppings, and food residue. These cause stains and corrosion if left for days.
Monthly Deep Clean
- Aluminum: Vinegar-water solution for oxidation spots, rinse thoroughly
- Teak: Teak cleaner + brightener twice yearly, oil optional (only for golden color)
- Wicker: Soft brush + soapy water, avoid pressure washers
- Cushions: Machine wash covers, spray frame with mold inhibitor
Seasonal Protection
Winter: Store indoors or use fitted, breathable covers (not plastic—traps moisture). Spring: Inspect joints, tighten hardware, reapply sealant to wood. Summer: UV-protectant spray on fabrics monthly.
When to Replace
Structural rust (not surface), cracked welds, or rotting wood joints mean the piece is unsafe. Cosmetic issues (fading, minor surface rust) can be fixed with sandpaper and touch-up paint.
